Honestly? I talk to your users so you don't have to guess. At the early stage, every week you spend building is a week you can't get back, so my job is to answer the one question that's actually keeping you up at night — "Is this feature worth building?" "Why do people disappear after their first session?" "Does this onboarding make sense to anyone who isn't me?" I keep it fast and focused: real conversations with real users, turned into a clear recommendation you can use right away. No 40-page report gathering dust. Just what you need to make the next decision with confidence.

"Move fast" is great advice — until you're moving fast in the wrong direction. I usually see founders reach out right around the moments that are hard to undo: picking your core workflow, shaping your onboarding, deciding what actually goes on the roadmap, or getting ready for investor conversations where "product-market fit" comes up more than once. That's where a little strategy up front saves you months of rebuilding later. I help you put a foundation in place — who your users are, what they need, what to prioritize — so speed actually gets you somewhere.

Think of it this way: research tells you what's true about your users right now, and strategy tells you what to do with that truth. Research without strategy is just a pile of interesting findings. Strategy without research is a good guess dressed up nicely. Most founders come to me needing one and quickly realize they need the other right behind it — which is exactly why I offer both together. You shouldn't have to hire two people to get a full picture and a plan.

Yes, and honestly, this is who I love working with most. You don't need to already speak "UX" for us to work well together — that's my job, not yours. I'll translate research and strategy into language your engineers can build from, your designers can design from, and your investors can actually understand in a pitch deck. Nothing I hand you needs a translator. If you can read a Slack message, you can use what I give you.

I get it — budgets are tight and every dollar has to earn its place. That's why I scope engagements as fixed-fee sprints, usually one to three weeks, so you know the cost upfront and walk away with something concrete: real findings, a prioritized roadmap, or a tested prototype. No open-ended retainer, no scope creep, no enterprise-style contract that takes longer to sign than the project itself. Pricing depends on what you need — a single round of interviews looks different from a full strategy sprint — but it's always built around how startups actually operate.

Fewer features built on gut feelings alone. A roadmap you can actually defend in front of investors or your team. And a real answer to why your users do what they do — instead of another round of internal debate. Every engagement ends with specific next steps, not a "here's what best practice says" slide deck. My goal is to leave you with momentum, not homework.
